Digital Extra: MBUX Smartphone Integration
Smartphone Integration connects the mobile phone with the multimedia system wirelessly via Apple CarPlay™ or Android Auto™. This gives you convenient access to the most important apps on your smartphone. You can also use apps from third-party providers such as Spotify quickly and easily. Central display
Infotainment in landscape format: The 14" central display presents all important information on driving and navigation clearly. Thanks to the zero-layer principle, operation via touch input is lightning fast and intuitive – without unnecessary menu steps. Google navigation – all mentions, including images of the navigation screen. To use Google Navigation, a separate customer-specific contract with a selected third-party provider is required. Google Navigation is available free of charge for 7 years.
Digital Extra: Pre-installation for Digital Vehicle Key for Smartphone
Unlock, start and lock your vehicle conveniently without a physical key. To do this, simply activate a suitable mobile device as the Digital Vehicle Key for your Mercedes. Via your mobile device, you also have the option of easily passing on the Digital Vehicle Key to additional users. The availability of the Digital Extras and Digital Extras services varies between vehicles, models and equipment. Select Digital Extras may be available free of charge for a period but availability and duration vary based on model and service. Select Digital Extras may be available free of charge for a period but availability and duration vary based on model and service. Use of the Digital Extras is subject to terms and conditions and requires a Mercedes me ID and the user to download the associated apps on a compatible mobile device. Please refer to the relevant Digital Extras terms and conditions or visit your local authorised Mercedes-Benz retailer for more information including device compatibility, connectivity and capability requirements. [3] Vehicles fitted with the MB.OS operating system require the Vehicle to be connected in order for certain features to operate or to operate at maximum performance. For these features the Purchaser needs to establish a Mercedes me ID, agree to the Digital Extras Terms of Use and pair the Vehicle to their account. If the Purchaser does not agree to the Digital Extras Terms of Use and pair the Vehicle certain features or optional features will not operate or may operate with reduced performance. Please speak to your preferred Mercedes-Benz retailer for details of affected features.
[4] The use of certain Digital Extras requires the continuous acceptance of the Terms of Use for Digital Extras and the Mercedes me ID Terms of Use in their respective current versions, the permanent pairing of the vehicle with the Mercedes-Benz user account, the consent to the storage and retrieval of necessary information to activate some Digital Extras within the paired vehicle and - where applicable - the activation of the Digital Extras. After the expiration of limited runtimes, Digital Extras can be extended for a fee in the Mercedes-Benz Store, provided that they are still offered for the respective vehicle at that time. Furthermore, there may be additional prerequisites or restrictions for the usage of some Digital Extras, such as a separate customer-owned contract with a third-party provider (e.g., streaming, conclusion of a data contract for "Comfort Data Volume“, navigation functions), the activation of additional Digital Extras to secure full functionality or selected third-party products (e.g., smartphone, smartwatch). As an alternative to the "Comfort Data Volume" a customer-owned data volume (e.g., mobile hotspot) must be used depending on the generation of your multimedia system. Information on the personal data processed for the usage of Digital Extras can be found in the Privacy Notices for the Digital Extras. The connection of the communication module to the mobile network, including the emergency call system, depends on the respective network coverage and availability of the network providers.
